Fees
PSYCoaching believes that fees should not be a barrier to getting help. PSYCoaching provides services well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended rates. Furthermore, an immediate Medicare rebate of $86.15 rebate per session (up to 10 sessions per calendar year) is applicable to the rates below for eligible clients with a GP mental health care plan. We can process the rebate for you on the spot.
Standard 50 minute session rate: $131.85 ($45.20 after rebate).*
There is a $20 surcharge for the initial session, and a $20 surcharge for appointments after 5pm. Additional charges past on from our merchant facilities to the client include a 2% credit card surcharge and a $2 fee for processing medicare rebates.
Note that bulk billing is available for clients with severe financial difficulty. A Centrelink Health Care Card or Pension Card together with a medicare card and GP mental health care plan must be presented.
The above fees apply only to private or Medicare referrals.
*Clients with a GP mental health care plan receive Medicare rebates of $86.15 for individual sessions. A GP mental health care plan entitles clients to a rebate for 6-10 individual counselling sessions per calendar year. Discuss with Richard during your first session, or discuss with your GP prior. You must bring your medicare card and a GP referral to your first session to obtain your rebate. The Medicare rebate is for psychological counseling sessions only and is not for life coaching services.
Telehealth video conferencing sessions = $131.85
New client special = $85
For telehealth sessions, a medicare rebate of $86.15 applicable as per the crieteria above for clients in very remote areas defined as Modified Monash Regions 4 or 5 – see http://www.doctorconnect.gov.au/internet/otd/publishing.nsf/content/locator). Such clients may also be eligible for bulk billing as per the above criteria.
